Mid/Senior AI Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI consultancy that delivers production-grade machine learning and GenAI systems for enterprise clients. Our talent team is searching for a Mid/Senior AI Engineer to join their remote-first technical organization.

This is a fully remote role where you'll design and deploy LLM-based systems, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows from prototype through production. You'll work directly with client engineering teams, mentor junior engineers, and shape technical standards across engagements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production ML and LLM-based systems including RAG architectures, agentic workflows, fine-tuning pipelines, and embeddings for enterprise clients
• Own end-to-end technical delivery: architecture, prototyping, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Collaborate directly with client engineering and product teams to translate business requirements into scoped, shippable solutions
• Mentor ML engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to internal best practices, tooling, and technical standards as the organization scales
• Represent the technical team in client conversations, workshops, and optionally at industry events

What We're Looking For

• Mid-level: 2+ years of professional experience in Machine Learning or AI Engineering
• Senior: 5+ years of professional experience in Machine Learning or AI Engineering
• Strong Python skills with a track record of writing clean, efficient, production-quality code
• Proven experience designing, training, optimizing, and deploying ML models independently using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn
• Hands-on experience building GenAI and LLM systems: RAG pipelines, chatbot architectures, and applications using frameworks like LangChain
• Familiarity with MLOps and production ML practices including model versioning, monitoring, and CI/CD for ML workflows
• Experience deploying and scaling ML systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong performance optimization and debugging skills to diagnose complex issues and improve reliability
• Experience working with stakeholders or clients is a plus
