Werkstudent Einkauf für Tiefbau- und Planungsleistungen im Glasfaserausbau (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential infrastructure organization in Düsseldorf that is seeking a Working Student to support procurement operations. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in purchasing processes for civil engineering and planning services while continuing your studies.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Supporting operational and strategic procurement activities, from sourcing civil engineering and planning services through order processing and documentation
• Participating actively in tender processes by preparing documentation, obtaining quotations, reviewing and comparing offers, and assisting with award decisions and contract negotiation preparation
• Conducting market research on pricing, suppliers, and proposals while maintaining purchasing, supplier, and contract databases
• Creating analyses and presentations to support procurement decisions
• Collaborating with technical, planning, project management, and controlling departments to optimize procurement processes
• Taking ownership of assigned tasks and smaller projects within the procurement function after onboarding

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a currently enrolled university student with the following qualifications:

• Active enrollment in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Law, or a comparable degree program
• Genuine interest in procurement for civil engineering and planning services
• Ideally some practical experience from internships or previous working student positions
• Enthusiasm for procurement processes and commercial contexts
• Careful, structured, and reliable working style
• Basic understanding of and interest in technical, organizational, and legal aspects of civil engineering and planning services
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
• Strong communication skills with colleagues and internal/external contacts
• Team player with initiative to quickly learn new topics
• Availability for a minimum commitment of 12 months
