Technical Product Manager – AI Investing

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing fintech organization building next-generation financial products across Southeast Asia. Our client is developing an AI-powered platform spanning payments, wealth management, insurance, and trading services. This is a remote opportunity for a Technical Product Manager who can own a product vertical from strategy through launch in a highly regulated, high-stakes environment.

This role moves real money. Reliability, regulatory compliance, and technical precision are not optional—they're fundamental to everything you'll build. You'll shape products where AI genuinely improves outcomes while maintaining the deterministic controls required for financial services.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities and delivery for a major product vertical
• Shape technical design alongside engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security and scalability
• Drive complex trade-offs balancing correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements directly into product design including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy and licensing
• Apply AI where it delivers measurable improvements, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight and failure handling
• Navigate external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial rails and third-party integrations
• Align cross-functional teams—Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury and Finance—around clear product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience with proven ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation in system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers with ability to review, challenge and contribute to technical designs
• Background in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Excellent product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability assessment and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for working across distributed international teams

Preferred:

• Engineering background or highly technical product experience
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
