Confirmo seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to elevate testing across product engineering. This full-time remote role is based in Prague, Czechia, where you'll work with a 60-person globally distributed team building crypto-to-fiat payment infrastructure and stablecoin-backed financial services.

Founded in Prague in 2014, Confirmo operates one of the industry's most established payment platforms, trusted by market-leading organisations worldwide. The engineering team manages a substantial codebase (~300,000 lines) with equally extensive test coverage. Today, every engineer at Confirmo is accountable for quality in their own work—and we're ready to invest in a dedicated QA lead who elevates testing as a first-class engineering discipline.

You'll reshape how quality assurance integrates into product development. We've historically prioritised automation selectively, leaving room for structured end-to-end testing to become a core practice. You'll architect that transformation, lead testing strategy, and champion emerging techniques like agentic AI-driven test automation—leveraging tools such as Claude Code to tackle persistent quality challenges: test case definition and maintenance, flaky assertions, test data provisioning, and noise in failure signals.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end test automation infrastructure, establishing it as a founding engineering discipline
• Collaborate with product and engineering leads from project inception, ensuring quality is architected in rather than bolted on at the end
• Research and integrate AI-assisted testing methodologies to reduce test maintenance burden and improve signal clarity
• Lead adoption of modern QA practices that address traditional pain points: test sprawl, flaky scripts, and data setup complexity

Who We're Looking For

• Proven track record in both manual QA and test automation; B2B SaaS or financial services background is ideal
• Comfortable scripting and automating in TypeScript, Python, Bash, or equivalent programming languages
• Practical hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman
• Production-grade experience automating browser-based user flows with Cypress, Playwright, or comparable frameworks
• Blend of technical curiosity (enjoys tinkering with automation, APIs, and scripting) and pragmatic delivery focus; shipping matters as much as experimentation
• Passion for user experience and clear, actionable test reporting
• Familiarity with Angular, TypeScript, GraphQL, RESTful services, and JVM-based backend systems is advantageous
