Software Engineer II – EDR Workflows – Security

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading security technology organization, is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their EDR Workflows team. In this remote role, you will build core capabilities that power endpoint detection and response management experiences, focusing on policy configuration, response actions, and forensics capabilities.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Implementing features that power endpoint security user interface capabilities
• Contributing to the architecture of agent management and response action frameworks, including forensics tooling
• Developing scalable, high-performance systems within a search and analytics ecosystem
• Writing production-grade code in TypeScript/Node.js (and potentially other languages) as part of a well-tested codebase
• Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams on shared initiatives
• Improving engineering standards, tooling, and team processes through AI-assisted development
• Participating in code reviews with globally distributed team members
• Working on large product features in coordination with product and design teams

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Basic knowledge of Node.js and React.js (TypeScript is a plus)
• Ability to leverage AI tools for comprehension of complex problems and rapid solution development
• An AI-powered development mindset and enthusiasm for modern development practices
• Curiosity and active engagement in team meetings and discussions
• Comfort with asynchronous collaboration across different time zones, including giving and receiving feedback
• Initiative-taking approach: asking the right questions, avoiding assumptions, and seeking continuous improvement

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience contributing to or developing open-source projects
• Knowledge of search and analytics platforms
• Background in cybersecurity and forensics
