Director Quality Management DD (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential international manufacturing organization in their search for a Director of Quality Management based in Regensburg, Bayern, Germany. Our client is a technology-driven company operating across multiple international locations, focused on precision engineering and industrial equipment manufacturing.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and deploying quality strategy across multiple sites, driving continuous improvement, and building a world-class quality culture in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and deploy divisional quality strategy aligned with business objectives across international locations
• Act as visible ambassador for safety culture, ensuring safe and healthy working environments
• Establish and maintain quality standards, governance, and ISO compliance requirements
• Drive product and process quality improvements across all manufacturing sites
• Lead customer quality and claims management, ensuring timely resolution and effective corrective actions
• Monitor quality KPIs, identify operational risks, and implement improvement initiatives
• Champion key programs including claim management, process control, FMEA harmonization, supplier quality integration, and best-practice sharing
• Lead cross-functional quality initiatives and support supplier, process, and product qualification activities
• Coordinate audits, ensure compliance, and drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions
• Provide functional leadership and development for the global quality community

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
• 10+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of leadership experience in an international and/or multi-site organization
• Proven success in quality transformation, customer quality management, and continuous improvement programs
• Experience in transformer, electrical equipment, heavy industry, or engineered products is highly valued
• Strong knowledge of FMEA, root cause analysis, audit management, and customer claims processes
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and change management skills
• Fluent English required; additional languages are an advantage
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, intercultural, multi-site environment
