Role Overview

What You'll Do

  • Lead technical art strategy and implementation for Unreal Engine projects, guiding the creation of materials, shaders, and visual effects
  • Develop and maintain efficient asset pipelines and workflows that support art teams while optimizing runtime performance
  • Collaborate with programming, art, and design teams to solve complex technical challenges and implement innovative visual solutions
  • Establish technical standards and documentation for materials, lighting, and rendering techniques
  • Mentor and support artists in mastering technical tools and best practices within Unreal Engine
  • Analyze and optimize performance, balancing visual fidelity with frame rates and memory constraints
  • Evaluate emerging rendering technologies and contribute to R&D initiatives for future projects

What We're Looking For

  • Proven expertise with Unreal Engine and advanced knowledge of real-time rendering, materials, and shaders
  • Experience with Blueprints, and ideally C++ scripting for custom tools or gameplay optimization
  • Strong background in production pipelines, asset optimization, and performance profiling
  • Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring technical artists or junior team members
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
  • Portfolio showcasing technical art work and shipped titles is highly valued
