Department for Education (DfE) BIM Manager / Senior Consultant – Real Estate – UK Wide

Turner & Townsend is recruiting an experienced BIM Manager and Senior Consultant in Real Estate to provide specialist support to the Department for Education across the UK. This full-time position is based in Leeds and offers an exceptional opportunity to lead Building Information Modelling strategy at a national scale.

About This Position

As a BIM Manager and Senior Consultant for Real Estate, you will shape how the Department for Education manages and optimises its estate through advanced Building Information Modelling frameworks. You'll combine strategic consulting expertise with hands-on BIM leadership, working across complex, multi-stakeholder environments to drive adoption of best-in-class real estate management practices.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement BIM strategies tailored to the Department for Education's real estate portfolios
• Establish and oversee BIM compliance standards, governance structures, and delivery protocols
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, government stakeholders, and project delivery partners to integrate Building Information Modelling into asset management processes
• Provide senior-level advisory support on estate optimisation, strategic asset planning, and technology adoption
• Champion the uptake of BIM methodologies and emerging technologies across the UK estate

Who We're Looking For

• Substantial professional experience managing BIM in real estate, construction, or property environments
• Demonstrated expertise working as a senior consultant on major, complex programmes
• Expert knowledge of BIM standards, tools, protocols, and industry best practice
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills across senior audiences
• Ability to work effectively across large-scale, geographically dispersed projects and programmes
• Professional background in surveying, architecture, project management, or equivalent discipline
