The Opportunity

Turner & Townsend, a global consulting firm specialising in programme and project delivery, is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our Dubai office. This full-time position offers the opportunity to drive financial excellence and strategic cost control on high-value energy sector projects throughout the Middle East. You'll be responsible for post-contract cost management, ensuring projects remain on budget whilst delivering exceptional value to clients in the energy and natural resources industry.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project costs from contract commencement through project completion
• Develop and maintain cost control systems, forecasting models, and budget schedules
• Conduct detailed cost analysis, variance reporting, and financial risk assessments
• Prepare regular cost reports and recommendations for project stakeholders
• Control variations, change orders, and cost claims in accordance with contractual terms
• Liaise with project teams, clients, and contractors on cost matters and cost management strategy
• Identify and implement cost savings and efficiency improvements

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Senior Cost Manager or equivalent cost management role, preferably in energy, oil & gas, or major infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of post-contract cost control, budgeting, and financial forecasting
• Excellent numerical and analytical capabilities with proficiency in cost management software and spreadsheet applications
• Thorough understanding of contractual principles, variations, and commercial management
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels
• Professional qualification in quantity surveying, cost engineering, or project management, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience working on projects in the Middle East or similar emerging markets is advantageous
