Director, Project Management, Houston Team Lead

Turner & Townsend seeks an experienced Director, Project Management to lead our Houston-based project delivery team in a remote capacity. This is a full-time opportunity to direct large-scale projects, mentor project professionals, and drive excellence across our construction and real estate portfolio.

About This Position

As Director, Project Management at Turner & Townsend, you will oversee the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects serving our Houston market and beyond. This senior leadership role demands someone who combines deep project management expertise with the vision to develop high-performing teams. You'll report to senior management and hold accountability for project outcomes, client satisfaction, team development, and revenue performance within your portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Direct the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of multiple concurrent projects
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of project managers and professionals
• Establish project controls, quality standards, and risk management protocols
• Manage client relationships at the executive level and ensure delivery of agreed outcomes
• Monitor project performance, financial metrics, and adherence to timelines and scope
• Identify business development opportunities within existing client accounts
• Participate in strategic planning and contribute to firm-wide best practices

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field
• Substantial project management experience with demonstrated success in senior leadership roles
• Proven expertise managing large-scale, complex projects
• Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Professional certification (PMP, DBIA, or equivalent) preferred
• Experience in construction, real estate development, or infrastructure delivery strongly preferred
