Healthcare Data Analyst

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare services organization in their search for a Healthcare Data Analyst. Our client supports provider groups and hospitals with critical back-office operations, and this role will focus on analyzing healthcare and revenue cycle data to drive financial and operational performance improvements.

This is a remote position based in the United States. You'll work with cross-functional teams to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that directly impact client outcomes and organizational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze healthcare and revenue cycle data from billing, claims, payment, and accounts receivable systems
• Monitor key performance indicators including collections, denial rates, claim volumes, reimbursement, and AR aging
• Identify trends, anomalies, and performance gaps across client accounts and operational workflows
• Build and maintain analytical reports and dashboards for internal and client-facing teams
• Investigate data discrepancies and collaborate with relevant teams to validate and resolve data issues
• Translate analytical findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations
• Support client performance reviews with data analysis and relevant metrics
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer operational and business questions
• Partner with billing, coding, claims, AR, and client success teams on data-driven improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, healthcare analytics, revenue cycle analytics, or a related analytical role
• Experience working with healthcare, financial, or operational datasets
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis
• Experience with reporting or business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes and related performance metrics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple analytical requests and meet deadlines in a remote environment
• HIPAA-compliant private workspace

Nice to Have:

• SQL experience
• Experience with major healthcare systems (Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or similar)
• Healthcare revenue cycle management or medical billing experience
• Experience analyzing claims, reimbursement, denials, or collections data
• Experience preparing client-facing reports or presentations
