The Opportunity

We're seeking an accomplished enterprise sales leader to build and expand ServiceNow's cybersecurity business within state governments, municipalities, school districts, and higher education institutions. As a senior account executive, you'll partner with C-suite and security leaders to position ServiceNow's integrated cybersecurity platform as the foundation for organizational risk management and compliance. This is a high-impact role combining deep consultative selling with the autonomy to shape your territory's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory strategy to identify, qualify, and close enterprise cybersecurity opportunities within the SLED vertical
  • Build and nurture relationships with executive stakeholders—CISOs, IT directors, and procurement leaders—across assigned government and education accounts
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from discovery through contract closure, often requiring navigation of procurement processes and compliance requirements unique to public sector buyers
  • Collaborate with solutions engineers, customer success teams, and product specialists to deliver tailored demonstrations and business cases that address sector-specific security challenges
  • Forecast pipeline accurately, maintain detailed account plans, and report progress against territory quotas
  • Stay current with SLED market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging regulatory drivers (CISA guidance, state cybersecurity mandates, education sector standards)

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven track record closing enterprise-level deals, ideally within cybersecurity, risk management, or GRC software
  • Deep familiarity selling to state, local, and education sector buyers—knowledge of procurement cycles, budget processes, and compliance considerations is highly valued
  • Consultative sales approach with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with confidence presenting to C-suite audiences
  • Experience with CRM platforms and ability to manage large, complex pipelines
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and the business drivers behind security investments
  • Self-directed hunter mentality with ability to thrive in a remote environment
