(Senior) SAP IS-U / SAP S/4HANA Marktkommunikation Consultant (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential energy-sector client seeking a skilled SAP IS-U / S/4HANA Market Communication Consultant. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to German and European energy clients on all matters related to market communication within the SAP Utilities environment. You will take ownership of customer requirements as a partial or full project lead, guiding implementations from concept to delivery.

Your day-to-day work includes:

• Supporting clients in standardizing, analyzing, and advancing their energy market processes
• Creating requirements documentation and designing solutions for market communication challenges
• Leading implementation efforts and organizing customer workshops and training sessions
• Taking responsibility for specialist topics and mentoring colleagues
• Working on high-profile projects with major energy providers across Europe

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone with a strong foundation in the energy sector and deep expertise in SAP Utilities:

• Completed degree or vocational training in a commercial or technical field
• Familiarity with energy supplier processes and market communication frameworks (GPKE/GeLi, WIM, MPES)
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience configuring, implementing, and enhancing SAP IS-U systems with a focus on market communication
• Experience with add-on components such as IDEX-DE and IDXGC/IDXGL (Common Layer)
• Ideally, exposure to SAP S/4HANA Utilities (particularly SAP Market Communication for Utilities)
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as ABAP or Java is a plus
• Fluent German (native or near-native level) for seamless client interaction
• English proficiency for internal collaboration
