Senior People Partner – Product & Functions

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-scaling fintech organization operating across multiple African markets. Our client is seeking a Senior People Partner to own the people agenda for their Product organization and a portfolio of global functions that sit at the heart of their operations.

This is a fully remote role based in the UK or Nigeria, reporting to the Lead People Partner for Technology. You'll work as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across product, design, digital lending, fraud, workplaces, impact, and corporate communications teams.

Responsibilities

You will partner directly with leadership across a genuinely varied portfolio, requiring you to switch context comfortably between creative, iterative teams and operational, high-stakes functions. Your day-to-day will include:

• Contributing to organizational design, workforce planning, and structural transformations across your client groups
• Developing people management capability across your portfolio, from performance conversations to hiring and talent development
• Implementing strategies to attract, develop, and retain product, design, and analytics talent in a competitive market
• Partnering with Centres of Excellence to turn people data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions
• Managing employee relations cases across your portfolio, working with specialist ER support on complex matters
• Reinforcing organizational culture and values at every touchpoint, from performance cycles to feedback loops and team rituals

What We're Looking For

We need someone who has partnered with senior leaders in scaling technology or fintech businesses and has owned—not just supported—a diverse portfolio.

Required experience:

• HR business partnering experience with senior leaders in scaling technology, fintech, or high-growth environments, with clear portfolio ownership
• Direct exposure to product, design, marketing, or analytics teams, with understanding of how these functions are built, motivated, and retained
• Breadth and adaptability: proven ability to build credibility across very different team types (e.g., moving from a design team to a fraud operations team in the same day)
• Strategic and operational range: comfortable shaping long-term people strategies while delivering the day-to-day work that makes them real
• Experience supporting cross-cultural, globally distributed teams across multiple regions
• Analytical and advisory instinct: ability to use data, influence, and judgment to advise leaders on trade-offs and risks
• Confident handling of employee relations matters across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with ER specialists rather than managing every case alone (Europe/UK exposure is a plus)
