About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential online education organization seeking part-time Real Estate Instructors to support students in New Mexico. This contract position involves helping students understand pre-licensing course material through email and online support channels. The time commitment ranges from 2-10 hours per week, with fluctuation based on student needs. Instructors are compensated hourly for all time spent assisting students and fulfilling position requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide documentation and complete requirements to become a recognized instructor or Instructor of Record in New Mexico
- Respond to student inquiries via email, voicemail, and discussion boards within one business day
- Review and stay current with course content, assisting with updates as state laws and regulations change
- Complete training on all school technology systems necessary for student support
- Obtain the 16-hour CDEI (Certified Distance Education Instructor) designation through IDECC within 4 months of hire, maintaining currency through renewal every three years (costs reimbursed)
- File required paperwork with the state commission for school and course approvals and renewals (if serving as Instructor of Record)
- Allow name and signature to be used on course completion certificates
- Provide formal reviews of course materials and report regulatory changes affecting content or delivery
- Deliver 15-60 minute presentations before the Education Advisory Committee for pre-license courses and respond to subject matter questions
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a licensed real estate salesperson, broker, or attorney
- Active New Mexico real estate license (salesperson or broker) required
- Willingness to attend an instructor training course or Instructor Development Workshop within one year of approval
- Previous teaching experience strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and respond to students promptly
- Comfort with online learning platforms and technology systems
