About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization that is building cutting-edge GPU-accelerated compute platforms. We are seeking a System Engineer to join their Compute Node team in the Netherlands.

This role focuses on building services that manage virtual machines running on GPU servers, integrating with disk management, virtual networks, and InfiniBand networking. You'll contribute to developing a Virtual Machine Scheduler that operates across massive clusters with thousands of servers and tens of thousands of GPUs spanning multiple data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain services for managing virtual machines on GPU server infrastructure
  • Integrate compute node services with disk management and network virtualization systems
  • Work on Virtual Machine Scheduler components that operate across multi-region clusters
  • Collaborate on system-level optimization for large-scale GPU orchestration
  • Participate in architecture decisions for compute infrastructure at scale

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Go or C++, with willingness to work with both languages
  • Solid understanding of Linux OS internals, process isolation, and resource management
  • Knowledge of POSIX, sysfs, system calls, and file systems
  • Experience with concurrency, debugging, and profiling techniques
  • Familiarity with server architecture, PCIe devices, NICs, and kernel drivers

Highly Valued:

  • Kubernetes experience beyond deployment—actual development work with K8s
  • Virtualization experience with KubeVirt and QEMU/KVM
  • Experience or strong interest in GPUs, DPUs, or ARM architectures
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA DOCA Software Framework

Interview Process: Candidates should be prepared for coding interviews as part of the selection process.
