About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their remote team across North America. Our client operates a cloud-based platform serving capital markets, and this role will focus on API and database development using Go, Python, and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable backend services using Go and Python
- Architect, optimize, and maintain relational database schemas in PostgreSQL
- Lead technical projects from concept through production launch
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to define requirements and implement solutions
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices across the team
- Build and operate scalable APIs and services in cloud environments
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of backend software development experience
- Production experience with Go, Java, Python, or similar languages
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Proven track record building and operating scalable APIs and services
- Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Working knowledge of development tools such as GitHub and VSCode
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
