Join Junior Adventures Group as an EYFS Playworker in our After School Club based in Northwood, HA6. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in young children's lives whilst building a rewarding career in early years education and childcare.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an enthusiastic and caring EYFS Playworker to lead engaging after-school activities and provide high-quality childcare for children in our Northwood club. You'll be part of a supportive team dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and thrive during their time with us after school hours.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate play-based activities that support children's development and learning outcomes
  • Supervise and safeguard children in your care, ensuring their physical safety and emotional wellbeing at all times
  • Build positive relationships with children, helping them settle and feel confident within the club environment
  • Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through structured play and informal interaction
  • Maintain detailed records of children's progress and share relevant observations with parents and carers
  • Collaborate with team members and follow the club's policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols
  • Prepare and maintain a clean, well-organised play space with appropriate resources and materials

What You Bring

  • A recognised EYFS qualification or equivalent childcare certification (Level 3 Childcare or higher)
  • Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
  • Strong understanding of child safeguarding and commitment to creating safe spaces
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children and families
  • Energy, creativity, and the ability to inspire and engage children through play
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to undergo one
  • First Aid training or willingness to obtain this
