About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential AI technology organization in their search for a Chief Strategy Officer based in the United Kingdom. This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving group-wide strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and translating strategic vision into executable business plans.
The organization is building next-generation AI applications focused on productivity and workflow automation. This role will own strategic direction across multiple business units and guide critical decisions around market positioning, expansion, and investment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own group-level strategy across existing businesses, new products, and market opportunities
- Evaluate new markets, competitors, and industry trends to recommend where the organization should invest and expand
- Build comprehensive business cases and financial models for new opportunities and major strategic decisions
- Lead strategic initiatives including market entry, partnerships, investments, and potential M&A activities
- Monitor competitive landscape and identify emerging risks and opportunities across all business units
- Own corporate positioning, develop strategic narratives, and manage communications around major company developments
- Partner with business leaders to translate high-level strategy into specific priorities, investment plans, and execution roadmaps
- Track strategic initiative progress and ensure alignment between vision and operational execution
What We're Looking For
- Significant strategy experience in technology companies, high-growth startups, strategy consulting, investment firms, or as a founder
- Proven track record developing and executing strategies that delivered measurable business outcomes
- Strong commercial and financial judgment with ability to evaluate markets, businesses, and investment opportunities
- Advanced analytical capabilities with hands-on ability to build business cases and financial models directly
- Exceptional written communication skills and ability to distill complex business topics into clear, compelling narratives
- Experience with corporate development, investments, M&A, or corporate communications highly valued
- Hands-on operating style with ability to personally research, analyze, write, and drive strategic work rather than purely delegating
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
