Technical Product Lead – AI Finance

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing fintech organization building next-generation financial products across Southeast Asia. Our client is expanding their leadership team and seeking a Technical Product Lead to own a critical product vertical within their AI-powered financial services platform.

This is a hybrid role based in the United Kingdom, requiring at least 3 days per week in the local office. You'll work with a global team spanning over 20 nationalities, building products that move real money and serve millions of users across payments, insurance, wealth management, and related financial services.

Responsibilities

As Technical Product Lead, you will:

• Own a complete product vertical from strategy and outcomes through technical design, delivery, and launch
• Shape technical architecture alongside engineering teams, covering APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive critical trade-offs balancing correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory compliance, and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements directly into product design, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing considerations
• Apply AI and LLM technologies where they genuinely improve outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Navigate external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial infrastructure partners, and third-party integrations
• Align cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation covering system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Proven ability to work closely with engineers, review technical designs, and contribute meaningfully to architectural decisions
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Exceptional product judgment with ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation methodologies, reliability frameworks, and understanding when deterministic systems must remain in control
• Strong English communication skills for collaboration across global teams

Preferred qualifications:

• Engineering background or highly technical product experience
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer financial products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for machine learning or LLM-powered features
