What This Role Involves

As a Scheduler at Home Instead, you'll manage the day-to-day scheduling of our care team, ensuring every client receives timely, reliable support. Working with our systems and team members, you'll be responsible for matching the right caregiver to each client's needs, managing shift allocations, and responding to changes in client requirements. Your work ensures our care operation runs smoothly and our clients receive consistent, quality care.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Create and maintain schedules for care staff, ensuring adequate coverage across all client assignments
• Respond to scheduling requests and changes from clients and team members
• Coordinate between care workers and clients to confirm appointments and arrival times
• Manage scheduling conflicts and find solutions to ensure continuity of care
• Update scheduling records and maintain accurate client and staff databases
• Support the care team with administrative tasks related to shift management
• Communicate schedule changes to relevant parties in a timely manner

Requirements

• Experience with scheduling systems or diary management (or willingness to learn quickly)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Reliable, with a professional approach to timekeeping and commitment
