About This Position

Home Instead is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Care Assistant working evening shifts. In this full-time role, you'll be part of a trusted care provider committed to helping older people and vulnerable adults maintain independence and dignity in their familiar home environments. This is a hands-on position that combines practical care skills with genuine human connection.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support including washing, dressing, and grooming assistance
• Help with activities of daily living such as meal preparation and eating support
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients during evening hours
• Assist with light housekeeping and household tasks as needed
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and client needs
• Work flexibly to accommodate client schedules and preferences
• Support clients' independence and wellbeing whilst following personalised care plans

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for supporting older people and vulnerable adults
• Proven experience in a caring or support role (training provided for the right candidate)
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Physical fitness and ability to assist with personal care tasks
• Reliability, punctuality, and professional approach to work
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
• Flexibility to work evening shifts and adapt to varying client needs
• A compassionate, patient approach to working with vulnerable people
