What This Role Involves
As part of our team in St Andrews, you'll be at the heart of our hospitality operation, delivering warm, attentive service to our customers. Working in a busy bar and dining environment, you'll develop strong customer service skills whilst contributing to the welcoming atmosphere our guests expect from Greene King venues across the UK.
Core Duties
- Serve customers at the bar and tables with professionalism and a friendly manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver them promptly
- Prepare and pour drinks to consistent standards
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout the service areas
- Handle payments and use the till system accurately
- Follow all food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with team members during busy periods
- Respond to customer queries and resolve issues professionally
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, bar work, or waiting is advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliability and punctuality
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one) is desirable
- Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
