What This Role Involves

As part of our team in St Andrews, you'll be at the heart of our hospitality operation, delivering warm, attentive service to our customers. Working in a busy bar and dining environment, you'll develop strong customer service skills whilst contributing to the welcoming atmosphere our guests expect from Greene King venues across the UK.

Core Duties

• Serve customers at the bar and tables with professionalism and a friendly manner
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver them promptly
• Prepare and pour drinks to consistent standards
• Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout the service areas
• Handle payments and use the till system accurately
• Follow all food hygiene and health and safety regulations
• Work collaboratively with team members during busy periods
• Respond to customer queries and resolve issues professionally

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, bar work, or waiting is advantageous but not essential
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliability and punctuality
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one) is desirable
• Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
