Air Export Agent

Expeditors is hiring a full-time Air Export Agent in Phoenix, AZ, US to manage international air freight operations and deliver expert logistics coordination for our clients worldwide.

About the Role

As an Air Export Agent at Expeditors, you'll be a key member of our air services team, responsible for processing, coordinating, and managing outbound air shipments. This role combines analytical attention to detail with customer-focused communication, ensuring that shipments move efficiently through every step of the export process. You'll work directly with airlines, customs brokers, and commercial customers to ensure compliance, accuracy, and on-time delivery—every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain complete export documentation, including airway bills, commercial invoices, and customs declarations
• Coordinate directly with airlines, freight forwarders, and customers to confirm bookings, communicate shipping status, and resolve operational issues
• Monitor shipment movements from pickup through final delivery, providing customers with accurate real-time updates
• Verify shipment compliance with regulatory requirements, including export control and hazardous materials regulations
• Process customs clearance and documentation to facilitate timely border transit

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in air freight forwarding, export operations, or customs brokerage
• Proficiency with logistics software and freight management systems
• Strong working knowledge of export documentation, airway bills, and international shipping regulations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all documentation
