Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential software consultancy in Nuremberg that delivers custom IT solutions for local clients and internal products. As a Senior Software Developer, you will:
- Take a key role in cross-functional project teams developing high-quality software solutions
- Identify technical challenges and develop effective solution strategies
- Share responsibility with your team for conception, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Practice clean code principles, unit and integration testing, code reviews, knowledge transfer, and pair programming
- Design new features and coordinate with stakeholders
- Work on greenfield web applications, modernize legacy systems, perform cloud migrations, or contribute to research and AI initiatives
- Mentor and guide less experienced colleagues to develop their technical capabilities
- Bring initiative, develop your own ideas, and drive topics forward with responsibility and foresight
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Comprehensive knowledge in Java, Python, or web frontends with Angular
- Several years of software development experience across different projects
- Passion for software development with focus on understanding customer needs to deliver optimal solutions
- Curiosity, willingness to exchange knowledge, and commitment to collaborative learning
- German language skills at B2 level minimum
- English communication ability
Nice to have:
- Experience with Spring Boot, Angular, databases, AWS, CI/CD, cloud technologies, reinforcement learning, LLMs, or IT security
- Deep specialist knowledge in select areas or broad generalist overview
Technical stack: Web technologies and Angular on the frontend; Java, Spring Boot, and/or Python on the backend
Location: Nuremberg, Germany – hybrid work arrangement with flexible hours
