Engineering Project Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential educational technology organization that is scaling rapidly to meet the demands of next-generation workforce training. Our client operates learning platforms serving thousands of students and is expanding their engineering capabilities to support ambitious growth plans.

We're seeking an Engineering Project Manager to work embedded with a small, high-performing engineering team. This is a remote, full-time role open to candidates in the United States, Canada, Europe, or LATAM. You'll report to the VP of Engineering and own the day-to-day operations that keep engineering projects organized, tested, and shipping reliably.

Responsibilities

• Keep engineering projects organized and moving forward: track work in progress, identify blockers, and maintain clarity on priorities
• Own quality assurance: test features as they're built, leverage AI tools to automate repetitive testing tasks, and write automated tests where appropriate
• Manage the bug pipeline end-to-end: reproduce issues, prioritize them, assign to engineers, and verify fixes
• Serve as the bridge between engineering, product management, and internal stakeholders who use the platform
• Advise on when to add process or structure, balancing productivity with necessary coordination
• Provide status reporting so the team and leadership have visibility into progress

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 4+ years in project management, delivery, or QA roles, ideally supporting small engineering teams
• Technical proficiency to work directly with engineers: ability to reproduce bugs, read stack traces, and write test cases
• Hands-on QA experience owning testing pipelines and bug management (manual or automated)
• Comfort using AI tools to automate previously manual work
• Strong judgment about process: you know when to add structure and when to stay lean
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, small-team environments where heavy process doesn't exist
• Passion for education and creating positive impact

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or Django codebases
• Experience with testing frameworks like Capybara, RSpec, or similar tools
• Track record working with product managers and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience as a first project management or QA hire on a team

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $140,000 to $178,000 USD annually for US-based candidates. Compensation will be adjusted based on location for candidates in Canada, Europe, or LATAM. Final salary is determined by relevant experience and skills as evaluated through the interview process.
