Werkstudent*in Information Security Awareness & Automation

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential software development organization in München, is seeking a working student to support information security awareness and automation initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in translating complex security and compliance requirements into accessible communication formats.

You will:

• Develop awareness and training materials that employees actually read—from microlearning modules to intranet content and onboarding documentation
• Create business continuity materials including role cards, emergency response guides, and crisis communication templates designed for quick comprehension under pressure
• Plan, support, and evaluate awareness campaigns and business continuity exercises, analyzing what works and iterating on future initiatives
• Automate content creation and distribution workflows using AI-supported tools, generating multiple formats and bilingual versions from source requirements
• Build automated systems to keep content current across internal platforms including intranets and Confluence whenever policies or emergency plans change
• Research current threat landscapes and security trends
• Maintain audit documentation for ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and TISAX certifications, including training records and exercise protocols
• Support internal and external audits by preparing evidence and tracking remediation actions

This position focuses on organizational and communication aspects of information security and business continuity. Technical infrastructure is managed by other teams—your contribution centers on concepts, processes, content, and automation.

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program such as IT security management, information systems, corporate security management, risk and compliance, corporate governance, or related fields with IT components
• Enthusiasm for automating workflows through scripts, prompts, and process optimization
• Interest in information security and business continuity from an organizational perspective (no prior ISO 27001, ISO 22301, or TISAX experience required)
• Self-motivated with structured, reliable work habits
• Excellent German and strong English language skills
• Availability for 16–20 hours per week during term, with flexibility for additional hours during semester breaks
