About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking an SDET II to join their quality engineering team in Colombia. This fully remote role focuses on driving scalable testing approaches, automation, and developer enablement across cloud platform infrastructure. You'll work within a central quality function that partners closely with product teams to embed quality at every phase of development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Software Developers in Test to embed quality through tooling, automation, infrastructure, reporting, and best practices
• Contribute to modern quality strategy tailored for a rapidly scaling SaaS platform, shifting toward lower-level testing to increase reliability
• Enhance stability and speed of end-to-end tests by improving test data setup, test isolation, and execution reliability
• Champion practices that reduce flaky tests and increase actionable test failure signals in CI/CD pipelines
• Work with the test team to ensure timely completion of functionality and enhancements driven by roadmaps
• Provide horizontal support across the test team to drive initiatives to completion
• Participate in all testing phases to positively impact lead time to value
• Contribute toward key quality metrics including test coverage, defect trends, test effectiveness, and regression rates
• Use insights to refine quality practices and guide investments in automation and infrastructure
• Share testing methodologies with developers and fellow SDETs to foster a quality-first mindset

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years' experience in quality engineering teams within modern SaaS or platform organizations in cloud-native environments (AWS)
• Expertise working with scaling automated testing infrastructure, including integration with modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Workflows)
• Knowledge of testing strategies and tools across the pyramid, from unit to end-to-end, including API contract and integration testing (Cypress, Pact, K6)
• Solid front-end knowledge and testing fluency in HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Familiarity with observability tools and best practices for improving test signal and pipeline feedback loops
• Strong communication and coaching skills with ability to influence engineering and product stakeholders
• Cross-platform collaborative testing mindset
• Experience leading testing initiatives for distributed teams across multiple regions
• Experience integrating QA tools like Zephyr Scale and on-prem CI/CD systems (GitHub)
• Strategic growth mindset with desire to learn and mentor others
• Pragmatic, system-thinking approach to quality at scale
• Interest in AI-powered testing tools (bonus)
