Technical Product Lead – AI Neobank

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing fintech organization building a comprehensive financial services platform across Southeast Asia. Our client is expanding their product leadership team to own critical verticals in payments, remittance, wealth management, and related services.

As a Technical Product Lead, you will own a product vertical end-to-end—from strategy and outcomes through technical design, delivery, and launch. These are high-consequence products moving real money, where reliability, regulatory compliance, and integration with financial infrastructure are fundamental requirements.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates globally who can work effectively across distributed teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end, including strategy, success metrics, roadmap prioritization, and delivery
• Shape technical design with engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive complex trade-offs balancing correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Build regulatory compliance into product design across KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing requirements
• Apply AI and LLM technology strategically where it genuinely improves outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Navigate product launches around external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partner integrations
• Align cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineering teams with ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation frameworks, reliability assessment, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for working in a global, distributed team environment

Nice to have:

• Engineering background or highly technical product experience
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer financial products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
