About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI research organization seeking a University Operations Expert for a fully remote contract role based in Australia. Our client is building cutting-edge solutions that require deep expertise in higher education systems, and we need someone who can translate real-world academic operations into structured scenarios and frameworks.

This is a contractor position offering flexibility and the opportunity to apply your years of university administration experience to innovative projects in the AI space.

Responsibilities

• Construct authentic higher education scenarios covering curriculum design, program development, faculty senate reviews, and institutional planning cycles
• Build educational tasks spanning program development, student affairs, research administration, and institutional advancement
• Develop scenarios utilizing common university systems such as Banner, Workday Student, Canvas, Blackboard, and research administration platforms like Cayuse and InfoEd
• Apply higher education frameworks to produce academic plans, accreditation documents, and board-level communications
• Author evaluation rubrics that distinguish genuine higher education judgment from surface-level knowledge

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in faculty positions, academic administration, or senior operational roles within higher education institutions
• Direct ownership experience with academic programs, enrollment initiatives, or institutional strategic priorities
• Strong fluency with higher education tools, frameworks, budgeting processes, accreditation standards, and governance structures

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience authoring rubrics, curriculum design materials, or faculty training content
