Technical Product Lead – AI Neobank

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech client building a next-generation AI-powered financial services platform across Southeast Asia. Our talent team is searching for a Technical Product Lead who can own a critical product vertical end-to-end—from strategy and technical architecture through regulatory compliance and launch.

This is not a typical product role. You'll be working on products that move real money, where reliability isn't optional and regulatory requirements are built into the foundation. You'll need to balance cutting-edge AI capabilities with deterministic systems that maintain trust, correctness, and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Own a complete product vertical including strategy, success metrics, roadmap prioritization, and delivery execution
• Shape technical design alongside engineering teams, covering APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive complex trade-offs balancing correctness, velocity, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Integrate regulatory requirements directly into product design, including KYC, transaction monitoring, transaction limits, privacy controls, and licensing
• Apply AI strategically where it genuinely improves outcomes, implementing clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Navigate external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial infrastructure partners, and third-party integrations
• Align cross-functional teams—Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance—around clear product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience with proven ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production launch
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Track record of working closely with engineers, with ability to review, challenge, and contribute meaningfully to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Exceptional product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation methodology, reliability engineering, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for collaboration across global teams

Preferred:

• Engineering background or highly technical product experience
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
