Site Reliability Engineers (SRE)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization seeking experienced Site Reliability Engineers to join their remote team. This role focuses on observability, resilience engineering, and driving cultural change around reliability practices across cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce cloud resiliency best practices and architectural standards
• Conduct chaos engineering experiments to improve fault-tolerance and system resilience
• Design and implement observability solutions for cloud infrastructure including monitoring, APM, and logging
• Research and support cloud migration projects ensuring minimal disruption
• Assess cloud deployments for compliance with organizational standards
• Coordinate cross-functionally with IT teams on observability requirements
• Analyze and remediate resiliency gaps across the infrastructure
• Participate in service capacity planning and system performance tuning
• Provide mentorship and training on technologies, tools, and SRE methodologies
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of cloud services experience, including at least 3 years on AWS
• 3+ years in SRE or similar reliability-focused role
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and the cloud-native ecosystem
• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and CloudFormation
• Experience with monitoring, APM, logging, and alerting tools
• Strong understanding of SRE practices, Service Level Objectives, and incident management
• Advanced Linux, networking, and scripting skills
• Experience with Git version control
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation abilities

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with streaming platforms like Kafka
• Familiarity with RDBMSs, particularly Postgres and MySQL
• Scripting proficiency in Python or Go
