Software Development Engineers in Test (Python)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is expanding its quality assurance capabilities. Our talent team is currently seeking multiple Software Development Engineers in Test with strong Python expertise to join a collaborative, high-performing engineering environment. This is a fully remote position where you'll work on critical backend systems, focusing on test automation framework development and comprehensive quality coverage for functional and performance testing suites.

In this role, you'll be working extensively with REST APIs, modern cloud infrastructure, and messaging systems. If you're passionate about quality engineering, automation, and building robust testing frameworks from the ground up, this opportunity offers significant technical growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance software quality and delivery throughout the development lifecycle
• Translate business requirements into technical test specifications and strategies
• Design, develop, and maintain functional and performance automation test suites
• Build and implement test automation frameworks, libraries, and supporting infrastructure
• Develop emulators for mobile application testing scenarios
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated tests into continuous integration tools
• Advise on performance testing strategies to optimize product quality and delivery speed
• Develop formal test procedures and plans based on product specifications and certification requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve testing issues throughout the quality assurance process
• Mentor team members and share technical knowledge across the QA organization
• Participate actively in both software development and testing lifecycle activities

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of comprehensive quality assurance experience
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Python development experience
• Proven expertise in designing and developing automated tests using Python
• Strong technical foundation and problem-solving abilities
• Experience testing REST APIs
• Proficiency with Git version control
• Background in agile software development methodologies and testing procedures
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch
• Knowledge of asynchronous and multithreading programming patterns
• Experience testing WebSocket implementations
• Familiarity with Docker containerization
• Experience with Grafana monitoring tools
• Background in performance and load testing
• Previous work in finance or foreign exchange domains
