Regional Director

Position Summary

• Lead the strategic direction and operations of Givedirectly’s regional branch in Nairobi, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and values.
• Manage and mentor a team of program managers and field officers to ensure efficient and effective implementation of projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
• Conduct regular site visits and assessments to monitor project progress and make data-driven decisions.
• Identify and secure new funding opportunities to support the expansion of our programs.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the regional office, ensuring compliance with Givedirectly’s policies and procedures.
• Supervise the development and implementation of regional strategies to enhance program impact.
• Collaborate with the central team to integrate regional initiatives with overall organizational goals.
• Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership on the performance of regional projects.
• Facilitate training and capacity-building workshops for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Who We're Looking For

• A proven track record in community development or a related field with at least 7 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Fluency in English and Swahili, with a deep understanding of the local context and culture.
