Role Overview

MC is hiring a Part-time Faculty Nutrition Instructor to deliver engaging, high-quality instruction in nutrition courses for our Montgomery County student population. In this faculty role, you'll develop curriculum, teach diverse learners, and contribute to Montgomery College's commitment to accessible, affordable higher education across Maryland.

Your Responsibilities

• Teach assigned nutrition and health science courses using effective instructional methods and evidence-based pedagogy
• Develop and maintain current course materials, syllabi, learning modules, and educational resources
• Design and administer student assessments including exams, projects, and practical evaluations
• Maintain office hours and provide academic advising and support to nutrition students
• Collaborate with colleagues in health sciences and related academic departments
• Stay informed of current nutrition science research and professional developments in the field
• Participate in departmental initiatives and professional development

Who We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, Public Health, or related discipline (or Bachelor's degree with substantial professional experience)
• Deep knowledge of nutritional science, human physiology, biochemistry, and health education principles
• Proven ability to teach and mentor diverse student populations effectively
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
• Skill in developing engaging, inclusive, student-centered learning experiences
• Commitment to equity, accessibility, and diverse student success
• Professional organization, reliability, and attention to instructional quality
