UX Designer

Position Summary

Cengage Group is seeking a talented UX Designer to craft thoughtful, user-centered digital experiences for our educational platforms. You'll work at the intersection of pedagogy and technology, designing interfaces that make learning more accessible, engaging, and effective. Your work will directly impact how students interact with our products and ultimately support their success in achieving their academic and professional ambitions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and usability testing to understand student and educator needs
• Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile learning platforms
• Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries for consistency across products
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and instructional designers to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and accessibility standards
• Advocate for user needs and best practices throughout the design and development process

Who We're Looking For

• 2+ years of professional UX design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating your work
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards
• Experience designing for web and/or mobile applications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for education and commitment to creating inclusive digital experiences
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
