Video/Motion Designer (REMOTE)

Cengage Group, based in Custom House, Orleans Parish, is hiring a full-time Video/Motion Designer for a remote position to create engaging motion graphics and video content that helps learners worldwide discover the power of education.

About the Role

As a Video/Motion Designer at Cengage Group, you'll bring educational concepts to life through eye-catching motion graphics and compelling visual storytelling. Working remotely, you'll design animated sequences and video content that transform how students understand complex subjects and enhance their learning experiences globally.

What You'll Do

• Produce high-quality motion graphics and video animations for educational platforms and digital learning materials
• Create storyboards, animatics, and visual concepts that translate educational narratives into dynamic motion design
• Edit, animate, and assemble video sequences using professional motion design and video editing software
• Partner with instructional designers, creative teams, and subject matter experts to align visual storytelling with learning objectives
• Develop animated explainer videos and interactive visual content that engage learners
• Maintain consistent visual branding and design standards across all motion design projects
• Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs to meet project specifications and deadlines
• Directly contribute to educational innovations that impact millions of learners worldwide

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated expertise with motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent tools
• Strong portfolio showcasing video design, animation, or motion graphics projects
• Outstanding visual communication and motion storytelling abilities
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a creative environment
• Track record of delivering projects on deadline while managing multiple concurrent assignments
• Familiarity with educational content and instructional design principles is preferred
• Self-directed work style suited for remote employment
