Social Media Marketing Manager (Remote)

Cengage Group is hiring a Social Media Marketing Manager to lead creative social media strategy and execution for a remote role based in Wichita, Sedgwick County. This is a full-time position where you'll drive engagement and growth across our social platforms while supporting our mission to help millions of learners achieve their educational goals.

About the Role

As our Social Media Marketing Manager, you'll develop and execute integrated social media campaigns that amplify Cengage's brand voice and connect with learners globally. You'll balance creative storytelling with data-driven insights, optimizing each post, campaign, and initiative to drive measurable business impact. Working remotely, you'll collaborate with marketing, product, and learning teams to elevate our digital presence and build community around education.

What You'll Do

• Plan and execute social media strategies across platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and emerging channels, aligned with company marketing goals
• Create original, compelling content that tells Cengage's story and resonates with educators, students, and learning professionals
• Monitor social performance using analytics tools; translate data into actionable insights and optimizations for reach, engagement, and conversion
• Manage community engagement, respond to comments and messages, and nurture relationships with followers and brand advocates
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities, launch campaigns, and amplify news, product launches, and thought leadership
• Track trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to keep Cengage's social strategy fresh and competitive

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of professional social media marketing or community management experience
• Proven ability to develop content calendars, execute multi-platform campaigns, and measure ROI
• Strong writing and storytelling skills with comfort creating engaging copy across formats
• Proficiency with social media analytics tools and platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, or similar)
• Experience with social media advertising and paid campaign optimization
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a remote work environment
