About the Role

As our Social Media Marketing Manager, you'll drive Cengage Group's social presence and strategy across platforms where educators and learners connect daily. Working remotely, you'll develop content and campaigns that bring our mission of educational innovation to life, translating learner success stories and educational insights into compelling social narratives that inspire and engage.

What You'll Do

• Design and execute social media strategies that align with broader marketing and educational goals
• Develop original content—from short-form posts to visual storytelling—that educates and resonates with learners and educators
• Monitor analytics and audience behavior to refine messaging, improve engagement, and demonstrate campaign impact
• Manage social calendars and publishing workflows across platforms
• Build relationships and foster engaged communities around Cengage's learning offerings
• Partner with product, brand, and educational teams to amplify key initiatives and product launches
• Identify emerging trends and platform changes to keep Cengage's social presence innovative and relevant

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience managing social media for education technology, publishing, or mission-driven organizations
• Proven ability to develop creative, authentic content and visual storytelling
• Strong analytical skills—you can interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategy
• Hands-on experience with major social platforms and content management tools
• Experience building and moderating online communities
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while collaborating effectively across distributed teams
• Genuine interest in learning innovation and educational transformation
