Loan Officer

Guild Mortgage is hiring a Loan Officer in Auburn, Lee County to help qualified homebuyers and owners achieve their financing goals. This is a full-time position with a mortgage banking firm dedicated to delivering affordable, professional lending solutions since 1960.

Role Overview

As a Loan Officer at Guild Mortgage, you'll be the primary point of contact for borrowers throughout the mortgage application and approval process. Your expertise in home financing will help clients understand their options and secure loans on terms that work for their financial situation. You'll work directly with buyers, existing homeowners, real estate professionals, and other stakeholders to move applications from initial consultation through closing.

What You'll Do

• Meet with prospective borrowers to discuss their financial needs, home purchase goals, and loan options
• Review and verify financial documents and credit information to assess borrower qualifications
• Prepare and submit loan applications while explaining terms, rates, and program features to clients
• Coordinate with underwriters, processors, and other team members to move applications toward approval and closing
• Maintain knowledge of current mortgage products, market conditions, and lending guidelines
• Build relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources in the Auburn area

Who We're Looking For

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously
• Knowledge of residential mortgage lending, loan programs, and the application process, or willingness to learn
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Professionalism, integrity, and commitment to customer service excellence
• High school diploma or GED; mortgage experience preferred but not required
