About the Role

As a Maps Quality Rater at Welo Data, you'll play a critical role in improving the precision and usefulness of location-based search results and personalized recommendations. Your work involves assessing whether search suggestions match user intent, whether recommended places are relevant and appropriate, and whether our systems deliver accurate information to people depending on these results every day. This remote-agnostic, hands-on position requires you to evaluate content from a user's perspective, identify issues, and provide feedback that helps refine our algorithms and search quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the relevance and accuracy of search results and location recommendations based on user intent
• Review personalized suggestions and assess whether recommended places match what users are seeking
• Analyze the quality of mapped locations, business details, and directional information for correctness
• Identify patterns in search results that need improvement and document findings
• Follow detailed guidelines to maintain consistency and quality standards across evaluations
• Provide actionable feedback that helps improve recommendation accuracy for our user base

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with strong communication skills
• Reliable internet connection and computer access for performing evaluations
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and notice inconsistencies
• Comfortable following structured guidelines and quality standards
• Familiarity with maps, location services, and general web search experience
• Willingness to work full-time from the New Braunfels, Comal County area
