Project Engineering Manager – Oil, Gas, & Chemical (OGC)

Lead high-impact engineering projects as a Project Engineering Manager at Kiewit, where you'll drive critical infrastructure development across oil, gas, and chemical operations in Houston's Old Sixth Ward location. This full-time, senior-level position puts you at the center of complex energy sector project delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into built reality.

What This Role Involves

As a Project Engineering Manager in Kiewit's Design Engineering group, you'll oversee the engineering leadership and coordination of major oil, gas, and chemical construction initiatives. You'll serve as a key liaison between project stakeholders, our design and estimating teams, and on-site construction crews, ensuring engineering excellence at every phase from planning through execution and closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct engineering strategy and technical oversight for assigned OGC projects, maintaining alignment with scope, schedule, and budget objectives
• Collaborate with Kiewit's estimating department to ensure technical accuracy and cost-effectiveness in project planning
• Partner with construction teams to coordinate field implementation, resolve engineering challenges, and maintain quality standards
• Lead design engineering initiatives that support project viability and operational success in energy infrastructure
• Champion technical communication across disciplines, translating complex engineering requirements to multiple audiences
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery processes

Who We're Looking For

• Senior-level engineering professional with demonstrated project management expertise in oil, gas, or chemical construction
• Strong technical foundation in design engineering, project controls, and delivery methodologies
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• PE license or equivalent professional credential preferred
