Environmental Scientist

Kimley-Horn, a respected environmental and engineering consulting firm, is hiring an Environmental Scientist for our Fort Worth, Tarrant County office. This is a full-time, on-site position perfect for a professional with 4 years of environmental science experience ready to advance your career in site assessment, regulatory compliance, and environmental project management.

About the Role

Join our Environmental team to drive environmental solutions for clients across Texas. You'll manage environmental projects from discovery through completion, working directly with property owners, developers, and industrial clients to solve environmental challenges and ensure regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

• Manage project budgets and timelines while delivering high-quality environmental assessments and reports
• Conduct Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, including soil and groundwater investigations
• Evaluate environmental risks and develop remediation strategies for contaminated sites
• Prepare permit applications and environmental compliance documentation for state and local agencies
• Communicate project scope, findings, and recommendations to clients, government entities, and regulatory agencies
• Perform field work including soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and site inspections
• Stay current with environmental regulations and ensure all work meets federal, state, and local standards

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of professional environmental consulting experience
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and regulatory agency interactions
• Proficiency with environmental assessment methodologies and GIS software
• Valid driver's license and willingness to perform field work throughout Texas
