Quality Technician – 2nd shift

Alkegen is hiring a Quality Technician for 2nd shift operations at our Sebring, Mahoning County facility. This is a full-time position focused on maintaining the highest quality standards for our advanced specialty materials—battery technologies, filtration media, and specialty insulation and sealing solutions.

Position Summary

As a Quality Technician on the 2nd shift team, you'll play a vital role in our manufacturing operations by ensuring that every product meets our rigorous specifications and customer requirements. Your work directly supports Alkegen's mission to deliver innovative materials that help the world breathe easier and live more sustainably. This hands-on position requires attention to detail, technical precision, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to identify defects and deviations from specifications
• Operate and maintain quality control equipment and measurement tools
• Document inspection results, test data, and quality metrics accurately and thoroughly
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues quickly
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and company quality policies
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency
• Perform 2nd shift duties, including weekend or holiday work as needed

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent, with technical coursework preferred
• Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing inspection
• Strong understanding of quality standards, measurement techniques, and inspection methodologies
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and quality specifications
• Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Reliability and commitment to 2nd shift scheduling
