What This Role Involves

As a Property Outside Claim Rep Associate at Travelers Insurance Company, you'll serve as a frontline team member in our claims operations. You'll manage the entire lifecycle of property-related insurance claims, acting as the primary point of contact for policyholders while ensuring claims move smoothly toward resolution. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and uphold Travelers' reputation for dependable service.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and prioritize incoming property insurance claims for processing
• Conduct initial contact with claimants to gather necessary information and documentation
• Review claim files to verify completeness and accuracy before proceeding
• Collaborate with claims adjusters, damage assessors, and supervisory staff to advance claims resolution
• Process claim payments and maintain ongoing communication with policyholders
• Maintain detailed, accurate records in company systems and claim documentation files
• Follow up on outstanding information requests and documentation from claimants
• Identify complex or high-value claims and escalate appropriately to management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and standard office applications
• Customer-focused approach and professional communication style
• Ability to quickly learn insurance terminology and claims procedures
• Prior experience in insurance, claims handling, or customer service is preferred
