Lean Manufacturing Engineer

Join Teledyne as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer and drive operational excellence in our Garland, Dallas facility. We're seeking a full-time professional to optimize production processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations.

Role Overview

As a Lean Manufacturing Engineer at Teledyne, you'll champion process efficiency and waste reduction in a dynamic, technology-driven manufacturing environment. This role combines analytical problem-solving with hands-on process improvement to enhance productivity, quality, and safety across our facility. You'll work with cross-functional teams to implement lean methodologies and drive sustainable operational improvements that directly impact our competitive advantage.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing initiatives, including value stream mapping and process optimization
• Lead 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and enhance operational performance
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to execute improvement plans
• Monitor key performance indicators and provide data-driven recommendations for process enhancements
• Document processes, procedures, and best practices to support sustainable improvements
• Support training and change management efforts to embed lean culture across the facility

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, tools, and methodologies
• Proficiency in data analysis and process mapping techniques
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments
• Experience with manufacturing or production environments preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and process improvement software a plus
