What This Role Involves
You'll apply design expertise, spatial vision, and business understanding to develop interior environments that deliver both beautiful aesthetics and strong performance. Across a portfolio of commercial and institutional workplace projects, you'll turn client priorities into spaces that boost productivity, employee wellbeing, and organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Develop interior design concepts and technical specifications for workplace projects through all phases from planning to construction documentation
- Work with architects, engineers, and project teams to integrate design solutions with technical constraints and project budgets
- Meet with clients to understand project objectives and present design strategies and solutions
- Produce 2D and 3D drawings, renderings, and material selections that communicate design intent
- Select materials, finishes, and furnishings based on performance needs, design goals, and sustainability considerations
- Coordinate design timelines and work with consultants and contractors through project implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or closely related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of professional interior design or architectural design experience, with workplace projects preferred
- Working knowledge of design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe applications
- Strong ability to develop spatial concepts and communicate design thinking through sketches, drawings, and presentations
- Familiarity with building codes, accessibility requirements, and design compliance standards
- Demonstrated communication, project organization, and teamwork abilities
