About the Role

As an Interior Designer focused on Healthcare, Sciences and Education at Gensler in New York City, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create environments that support patients, students, researchers, and the communities they serve. We believe great design begins with people, and you'll bring curiosity, craft, and an entrepreneurial mindset to every project — from initial concept sketches through built reality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts for healthcare, science, and education projects, balancing aesthetics, function, and well-being.
• Produce design documentation, drawings, and presentation materials across all project phases.
• Partner with architects, consultants, and clients to translate program goals into thoughtful spatial solutions.
• Select finishes, materials, furniture, and lighting that reflect each client's identity and operational needs.
• Contribute fresh ideas and creative problem-solving to a collaborative studio culture.

Qualifications

• A degree in interior design, architecture, or a related discipline.
• Professional experience in interior design, ideally within healthcare, sciences, or education sectors.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and documentation software.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, technical skill, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities.
• Passion for innovative, people-first design and a drive to grow within a global practice.
