This is a full-time opportunity to manage and expand relationships with some of the nation's most influential educational institutions while helping them optimize their workforce management solutions.

About the Role

As a Public Sector Account Executive focused on Higher Education, you'll be the primary business partner for college and university leaders seeking to modernize how they manage talent, payroll, and workforce planning. You'll work with institutional procurement teams to understand their unique challenges and position our suite of solutions as the strategic partner they need to drive operational efficiency and improve the employee experience across their campuses.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute account strategies to expand relationships with assigned higher education institutions within the public sector
  • Identify new business opportunities and champion our workforce management solutions to university leadership, finance teams, and HR departments
  • Lead discovery conversations that uncover institutional pain points around payroll, scheduling, talent management, and workforce analytics
  • Build comprehensive proposals and deliver compelling presentations to multi-stakeholder buying committees
  • Navigate complex procurement processes specific to public higher education institutions
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals while maintaining strong margins and customer success criteria
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with implementation, product, and customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption
  • Track pipeline activity and forecast accurately to meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record in B2B enterprise sales, public sector sales, or higher education market experience
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder deals and navigating institutional decision-making processes
  • Deep understanding of higher education challenges—or demonstrated ability to learn the sector quickly
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills with the ability to build credibility with executive and operational leaders
  • Self-motivated, resilient closer who thrives in a competitive, goal-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts and timelines simultaneously
  • Knowledge of HR technology, workforce management, or payroll systems preferred
