Eagle Mountain International Church is hiring a full-time Land Maintenance Worker 2 in Newark, Wise County, to help keep our ministry grounds healthy, safe, and beautiful year-round.
About the Role
As a Land Maintenance Worker 2 at Eagle Mountain International Church in Newark, Wise County, you will carry out hands-on landscaping and grounds care across our ministry property under general supervision. This is a practical, outdoor role suited to someone who takes pride in well-maintained land and enjoys steady, varied work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping tasks including mowing, weed-eating, watering, and fertilizing across ministry grounds.
- Maintain and repair fences, roadways, and waterlines as needed.
- Read and interpret soil test results and build appropriate fertilization plans.
- Refresh flower beds by removing and replacing soil at the Parsonage and throughout the ministry property.
- Identify, diagnose, and address common landscaping and turf problems by applying suitable solutions.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or general land maintenance.
- Working knowledge of mowing, weed control, fertilization, and irrigation methods.
- Ability to interpret soil tests and recommend fertilization programs.
- Skill in basic repairs to fences, roads, and waterlines.
- Capable of recognizing plant, soil, and turf issues and applying the right corrective measures.
- Comfortable performing physical, outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
